Breaking the Chains

Invisible chains, that bind and hold
A constant weight, upon my soul
Anxiety, a silent thief
Stealing peace and causing grief

Stress, a never-ending storm
Raging on, with no reform
Tugging at my every thought
Making my mind, a battle fought

But in the darkness, there’s a light
A hope that shines, so very bright
With each new day, I’ll find my strength
And battle on, at any length

For I am more than what I feel
I’ll rise above, this pain and wheel
I’ll break these chains, that hold me down
And wear my crown, with honor bound.
