Fitness and happiness have always gone together and for good reason. Regular exercise has been shown to boost our mood, reduce stress levels, and promote overall well-being. With February here and our resolutions have gone out the window (are you still holding on to yours?), now is the perfect time to challenge yourself and improve your fitness. What better way to do that than by taking part in a 100-push-up challenge with a group of people? My friend encouraged me to take part in this and asked me to join her group and I’m glad I did. I might feel differently in a week, but feeling apprehensive is ok — this is a journey.
It took me a day to decide whether I was up for the challenge. When I saw that this group was going to be supportive and exciting from the comments on the original invitation, I got excited and ready to start. The group has been great so far and I’m excited to see the improvements in my fitness by the end of the challenge. I’d encourage anyone thinking of joining to go for it — what have you got to lose? Maybe some weight?
After all, this challenge isn’t only a great way to improve physical fitness, but also mental health. The group’s accountability will help me stay motivated and on track, and the sense of accomplishment from completing the challenge will make me feel good.
In addition to the physical benefits of regular exercise, participating in a challenge like this also provides a sense of community and social support. The camaraderie and support of your group members can help you push through those tough days and reach your goals.
Fitness for me is hard. It’s hard for me to stay motivated and I hope that I’ll be able to find a group to work out with so that I can push myself harder and see this through. No … strike that statement— I know I’ll see this challenge through.
While the 100 push-up challenge may seem daunting at first, it’s important to remember that progress isn’t always linear. It’s okay to have days where you may struggle, but the key is to keep pushing yourself and stay committed to the challenge. And before you know it, you’ll see a significant improvement in your strength and happiness.
So, if you’re looking for a way to improve your physical and mental health, why not join (or start) a 100-push-up challenge this February? With the support of your group, you’ll be able to push yourself to new limits and feel great while doing it.
